Assistant Producer: The British Animal Honours 2013
Responsible for sourcing stories for a brand new two-hour primetime entertainment awards show, hosted by Paul O'Grady.
I am also originating creative ideas for inserts and entertainment features for the programme, approaching casting agents and publicity companies. I am responsible for shortlisting and approaching celebrities, charities and animal experts for involvement in the show. I have taken on production responsibility for Press and PR duties to publicise the programme and widen casting opportunities. I am also acting as an animal welfare consultant, using my experience in the animal charity sector to advise the production team.

Researcher: Great British Wildlife Revival (working title)
Responsible for researching nine out of the 18 species of endangered British wildlife to feature in a 6 x 60' series for primetime BBC1. Originating stories, interviewing scientists and experts, self-shooting on reccies, casting contributors, location finding, arranging talent, assisting with scriptwriting, arranging permissions, assisting on location.

Originated and pitched ideas on various topics, eg news and current affairs, environment, farming, wildlife and conservation. Researched stories, found contributors and interviewed people by telephone, researched locations and obtained filming permissions. Negotiated fees for video footage, music and film crews. Interviewed/directed contributors and talent using self-op DV camera. Recorded sound on shoots. Briefed presenters John Craven, Ben Fogle, Michaela Strachan and Adam Henson. Went on location for all shoots and assisted with contributors, crews and talent.

Independently researched locations using internet, books and foreign advisors. Negotiated filming permission and fees, organised film crews and foreign travel all within tight budget. Identified and interviewed contributors, negotiated fee-free interview with Sir Richard Branson. Researched wildlife and natural history, set up animal sequences with specialists, briefed presenter John Craven. Provided additional website material and listings information for Radio Times and BBC Publicity.

Sole Researcher: Big Screen Britain (4x20 minute programmes)
Praised for securing series after difficult negotiations over cost of film clips with major film studios. Sole researcher on four programmes: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Under Milk Wood, Far From The Madding Crowd and The Railway Children. Also did additional research for other episodes. Met tight budgets, and negotiated significant reductions in location, talent and prop fees e.g to film privately owned windmill, organised use of original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car, persuaded agents to reduce fees for actors.
Sourced original extras from the feature films, and sourced privately owned film footage and stills. Drafted script ideas for directors, produced running orders and call sheets. Briefed presenter Ben Fogle. Went on location for all four films and assisted with all production aspects of the shoots. Wrote associated listings material for Radio Times and promotion for BBC Publicity.
